On April 21, 2025, retired Army Specialist Zach Parker and his family received a hero’s welcome as they stepped into their new custom-built, fully accessible home for the first time. The Welcome Home Celebration was part of a national initiative led by Helping A Hero and Bass Pro Shops to support wounded veterans with specially adapted homes. Design Tech Homes donated and built the Parker family’s home, supported by an incredible team of vendors who gave generously to bring the project to life.

The homesite, generously donated by Patten Properties, the developer of Republic Grand Ranch, marked the beginning of this journey, which officially kicked off with a patriotic groundbreaking ceremony on July 16, 2024. The Republic Grand Ranch community rallied around the Parker family with pride and support, laying the foundation for their new chapter.

The project came full circle with a powerful Welcome Home event on April 21, 2025, featuring students from Willis ISD, first responders from the Willis Fire and Police Departments, and special guest Marcus Luttrell, the Lone Survivor. It was a day filled with music, unity, and a joyful reminder of what makes our community so special.

A special thank you goes out to all the staff, neighbors, community members, and volunteers who came together to make this project possible. On behalf of the entire Patten Properties family, we extend a warm welcome home to the Parker family.
